How We Lost (and Rediscovered) the Ways Humans Have Healed.
In the early 1900s, Rockefeller and Carnegie funding reshaped American medicine. The Flexner Report centralized care around pharmaceuticals and lab-based interventions—methods that could be standardized, patented, and monetized. Holistic, nutrition-based, environmental, and energy-focused medicine was dismissed as “unscientific,” not because it lacked merit, but because it lacked profit alignment.
Psychiatric medications emerged from this system— often rooted in petrochemical derivatives, rarely addressing true physiological dysfunction, and never built on understanding the metabolic foundations of emotional health.
The result?
A mental health model built not on root cause, but on symptom categories, behavioral framing, and long-term medication dependence.
But the remembering has begun.
People are reaching for what was lost: metabolic literacy, natural law, environmental rhythm, and the deep knowing that the mind and body are inseparable.
My work stands in that re-emergence— bringing back the ways of healing that were dismissed, and grounding them in modern metabolic science.

I’m Megan Zuzevich, a mental health consultant and formally trained clinical therapist. Over my years of clinical work, I realized quickly that the higher educational system never taught us how to help the body heal the very processes that create emotional capacity.
No one taught us energy.
No one taught us metabolism.
No one taught us natural law.
And no one taught us how deeply the environment shapes the nervous system.
Therapists are trained to manage symptoms — not restore the biology beneath them.
I stepped out of that model to teach what should have been taught all along.
